Contains Poor People/Poor Folk, White Nights, Mr. Prokharchin, The Village of Stepanchikovo, Uncle's Dream, The House of the Dead, The Gambler and A Gentle Creature. Pleasing teal cloth with beveled design and shadowed titling. Some light rubbing to boards and minimal soling to fore-edge. Volume 2 has splitting to guttering but both volumes holding firm and square. Contents clean and unmarked. Good overall.
