Hardcover with Dustjacket, Eyre & Spottiswoode, London, 1951. First edition of Bair's satirical novel of the invasion of a lakeside town by exploitative prospectors. Green cloth boards with gilt lettering. Some slight bumping and browning but text-block is crisp. Dustjacket has a number of small tears at the extremities and one larger one across the front cover that someone has covered (quite neatly) with clear tape. Overall good condition.
