Interesting presentation edition of Dickens' classic novel and one of the first murder mysteries. Given to a customer of the famous Simpson's chop-house restaurant in 1924. Simpson's was patronized frequently by Dickens. Red leather with gilt decoration and presentation text blocked in gilt to cover. Top edge gilt. With b/w illustrations by W. H. C. Groome. No date but c. 1920. Some very light shelf-wear. Contents square and prim. Very good+ condition.
