The First Folio of Shakespeare: The Norton Facsimile
William Shakespeare
W. W. Norton / Folio Society 1996
Binding: Hardback | Condition: Very Good |
The Second edition of the Norton facsimile of Shakespeare's First Folio of 1623, printed by Blount and Jaggard. With two introductions explaining the origins, printing methods and modern scholarship of the First Folio. Bound in quarter bonded leather with pictorial cloth boards. Raised bands, gilt decoration. Complete with slipcase. This edition was designed and produced by the Folio Society in 2001 and 2006 using the sheets from W. W. Norton, as a 'brought in' volume it does not carry the Folio Society name within, though the 2001 edition had a tipped in note, this volume appears to be the 2006 issue. Slipcase has been bumped to rear corners with very light bumping to rear corners of volume. Slipcase has light marking and shelf-wear. Small rubbing to one raised band, else volume is crisp and clean. Very good overall. *Due to size and weight, extra shipping fees apply to overseas orders*
