Orignally called Apple Tree: A Short Novel and Several Long Stories but the success of the Birds and its film adaptation caused a name change. With b/w illustrations by John Waite. Green faux leather covers with ornate gilt design. Sewn headband and silken marker. Some mild tanning to page edges. Contents clean and sound. Near fine.
